1 / 3A E Young Reserve / Jubilee Park
π Port Noarlunga South, SA
Extensive multi-level wooden adventure fort with a separate junior playground, multiple BBQ and picnic facilities, and foreshore views over Port Noarlunga sand dunes and the Onkaparinga estuary. Fully fenced main playspace.
My son calls this place 'Epic' with a multitude of play areas and activities for kids of all ages. The extensive timber Fort is fantastic with room for parents to move around and follow/ look after the smaller children. The main Fort playground is fully fenced with one point of entry that has a safety gate. There are multiple hidden gems here with wobbly bridges, slides, monkey bars, tunnels, balancing beams, and a rocket, just to name a few. There is some seating for parents with a couple of sheltered options (but these get taken quickly).) The entry point to the Fort is wide enough to accommodate Prams, mobility assistance devices, and wheelchairs. Outside of the Fort playground area, there is ample grassed areas for picnics and general play (such as ball sports, Frisbee, cricket, etc). There are also several sheltered bbq areas (timed electric bbq with stainless steel plate), with some also having picnic seating. There are also shade options available, which helps on hot days. There is also an additional playground area external to the Fort with plenty of play options available to occupy the kids, including swings, climbing areas, water play, slides, and balancing items. There are public toilets located at the far end of the park area. The one minor point is that these are around 300m away from the Fort playground, which means if you need to take one child, you have to take them all. The area would benefit from having toilets at both ends of the park. There is usually an ice-cream van there but otherwise bring a picnic. Public toilets are also available on site. A generous car park with easy access in close proximity to the playground. During school holidays and weekends in summer, there is usually an ice cream van next to the large playground area, which has a nice variety of soft serve and ice cream items for a very reasonable price.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids spanning toddler to upper primary who can split between the junior playground and the main fort. The timber fort holds kids' attention for extended periods β the multi-level layout encourages repeated exploration. The foreshore setting and BBQ facilities support a full-afternoon visit.

βA very good and unique playground featuring a multi-level wooden adventure fort that keeps kids entertained for a long time. The area has excellent facilities including toilets, barbecues, seating areas and picnic tables. There is play equipment suitable for different age groups, spacious grass areas to run around, and many spots for families to relax. It also has plenty of parking available. Definitely one of the best playgrounds nearby and well worth a visit.β

βVisited Jubilee Park last week, and it was a great experience! The park has plenty of activities for kids, making it a perfect spot for families. Thereβs also some shaded areas, which are great for relaxing on sunny days. The giraffe statue adds a fun touch to the park, and the bathroom facilities are well-maintained. Overall, a fantastic place to spend time outdoors with kidsβ

βPlayground facilities are great lots of fun equipment and acessible, however the toilet block is quite far away from the playground areas and not easily viewable for parents from said playground areas. Needs another toilet block on the otherside or inbettwen both play areas. Bbq facilities are good, nice shelter, green grass and fenced pkay area aswell as a good sized parking lot. Icecream van regularly parked off to the side which is great for a treat. Playgrounds themselves are well maintained i do recommend a visitβ
