Animal Land Children's Farm
π Diggers Rest, VIC
Working farm 30 minutes from Melbourne CBD offering pony rides, cow milking, tractor rides, egg collecting, and hands-on animal interactions with rabbits, chicks, and guinea pigs. VIP guided packages available for birthdays and special visits.
What an awesome place to both visit and also have a birthday party at! The activities are fantastic under the birthday VIP package. We rode ponies, enjoyed a tractor ride around the farm, milked a cow, visited chickens, and pat bunnies. Every kid at the party had a go at something and everyone had a wonderful time. I was worried weβd rushed for time or run lateβ¦but the head farmer assigned to our party group helped keep things moving graciously on reasonable schedule. I definitely recommend for parties. I was able to decorate the marque space and was able to set something great up using the space! The venue had everything I needed with tables, chairs and tables along with table covers, plates, drinks and party food for the kids. There was a βbarβ area which I was able to use to hold drinks in a built in sink and have a grazing table spread for adults. Food servings were generous for the kids and the food was delicious! I recommend touring the site to work out your decoration needs to add your own unique spin to the party space. Thoughtful touches like an A/c blowing cool air into the marquee was lovely. The team working the day were super kind, accommodating and helpful however they can. The animals had so much open space, fed super well and looked healthy and happy. You sensed they were at peace just enjoying life π
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and primary school kids who want genuine hands-on animal contact rather than just viewing. The VIP guided package delivers maximum interaction and is strongly recommended for birthdays or first visits. Self-paced general admission remains provides solid animal access.

βI came with my husband and my 2.5 yo toddler. It was a Friday morning so there wasn't much of a crowd, parking was also easy and close to the entrance. It's a beautiful place and the animals are very friendly. As someone living in the north-western suburb, I appreciate being able to drive 24 minutes away to see farm animals. My toddler loved the experience, he kept talking about it days afterwards. Love the pony ride, feeding the animals and visiting the nursery. We also love the playground and maze area, and you can tell it's a place made for children to play and interact with. My toddler already wants to go back, so we can't wait to go back in the future. Tips: I didn't know this, but if you pre-book your tickets 24 hours before (which I did) you had to choose a different option on the website to get a discounted rate. I chose general admission ticket when I should have chosen the discounted rate tickets. Overall, still a great experience and I have recommended the place to other parents.β

βLoved loved loved. We purchased a family VIP , which included a tour guide Kelly the best! , milking the cows pony ride feeding the chooks, the pigs the ducks and chickens. Holding chicks rabbits and guinea pigs as well as collecting eggs , riding ponyβs, milking cows, ride on the tractor and many more my 3 children ages 4-9. Enjoyed every second and wish to return which we will be planning next time with extended family members. Thank you Kelly for making this first time experience a memorable and fun time. We will defs be returning back for another visit until then. Recommend 10/10β

βIf your looking for a fast activity for the kids this would be it . We did rush abit as it was a very hot day and there was hardly anyone there(not much wait time) . Heaps of spaces to carpark , once youβve checked in they hand you a complimentary hand sanitiser (great idea ) . The toilets are nice and clean !! Heaps and heaps of seating areas . This would be great for picnic with friends etc Next area is the petting area . My kids love patting the bunnies . Once thatβs completed your handed two buckets of feed 1. For Ducks and 2. Every other animal but horses & pigs . But if you forget who you can feed the farm has signs all over the place saying which animals are safe to feed . The pony rides are very very short which is great for the kids attention span and for the ponyβs wellbeing. They have a few ponyβs on hand to rotate . Save your duck feed for the duck pond because youβll be greeted by heaps of them . I wish the pigs had more wet mud to play with , but I can see it was dried up abit from the heat . I didnβt buy any food but what I saw around the joint look very very delicious!!!!β
