1 / 3Broadmeadows Aquatic and Leisure Centre
π Broadmeadows, VIC
Aquatic centre with swimming pools, a spacious gym with pool views, and dedicated autism-friendly sessions. Toddler amenities and pram access are available throughout the facility.
We attended the autism friendly night tonight and it was amazing. They need to hold more of these nights as my son loved it and felt so comfortable with every swim teacher there. I couldnt thank all the workers enough they were honestly amazing. Next time ill make sure to share the post around and invite people I know.
π Family Action Verdict
Families with children who have autism or sensory sensitivities will find the dedicated swim nights exceptional β teachers are specifically trained and the environment is managed for comfort. For general swimming, the main pool is warmer and the gym is genuinely spacious.

βGreat gym. Nice and spacious, plenty of room to breathe. Only one that doesn't smell of sweat and as a bonus has a view of the pool below π so youβre never bored.β

βCouple of years back the pool used to be freezing cold so we had stopped coming here. Since then things have changed because the pool is now MUCH warmer. The olympic pool on the other end however can be a bit cleaner. It always has yellow fuzz at the bottomβ¦β
