Needs renovating, food is nice but service lacking a little when you first walk in. Chairs that barely work to recline & feel like they're peeling. Hope they renovate this place soon. Movie experience was still nice. Service fitting the movie was very fast & efficient.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

V-Max and IMAX deliver a solid format upgrade for special family outings. Gold Class suits older kids and teens for event films. The venue has shown wear in recent visits β€” seats in some cinemas need attention and housekeeping between sessions has been inconsistent.

β€œI went to the cinemas today, however my experience was generally disappointing. The cinema was surprisingly busier than it has been recently, the seats had aged quite significantly, my seat was broken and made constant squeaking at the smallest movements. Compounding onto this experience was the people that were seated behind me who had little common courtesy as they sat with no shoes on and had there feet on the chairs, Including on my arm chair and shoulders at one point. At my behest they still ignored me, the smell was disgusting and quite appalling which ruined my experience with the movie as I constantly had to cover my nose. I was quite disjointed as this was more than one person as the entire back row had there shoes off and on the headrests. Not only is it disgusting because of the smell but also having there barefeet on the very chairs we sit on is very nauseating. I think there needs to be stricter rules implaced or atleast a review of the policy even making visible signage as some people lack common dignity. In addition to this the movie in the cinema stuttered more than once as the audio disconnected and the film paused for a significant time which exacerbated the already negative movie experience. I hope someone reads my review and understands how this can repel me and others from going back to the cinemas.”

β€œGood staff but save yourself a buck and head to Hoyts. Far better quality cinema movie experience at a lower price. My beef isn’t with Miranda specifically but event cinemas in general. Miranda is just my local. Gold class here is ridiculous. In bright scenes in the movie you can see the film reeling, the sound quality is poor with the sound coming from the screen not the surrounding speakers. The gold class food is below standard, coming out on time but cold. The seats have aged really poorly in a short amount of time. I can somewhat justify the price if it’s good quality. Miranda and George street cinemas don’t have cleaning crews for their bathrooms it seems. Hoyts is the better option. Wicked advance screening at $25 adult ticket with a glass of champagne and reclining in their standard theatre”

β€œWent to the movies today with my boyfriend and sat in my seat. Behind me were 2 large men who were bare footed. Now you can imagine the absolute putrid odour which was released from each of their feet. I could not emerse myself in the cinematic experience as all I could think about was the appalling smell coming from those feet. Not only did these men’s feet stink but they had it touching my shoulders on the seat at one point. It should be policy to never place your feet on the seat let alone never wash your feet. These men had no respect I wanted to generally yell at them which I always did at one point. I’m so appalled. I was eating my popcorn and basically eating the stench from their feet. Miranda be more strict with this!”
