Great Ocean Road Wildlife Park
π Gellibrand Lower, VIC
Great Ocean Road Wildlife Park lets visitors hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, meet resident dingoes, and get close to wombats and koalas in a well-maintained bushland setting. A paid koala experience is available as an add-on. Cafe on site.
We were warmly welcomed by the friendly team member at the desk who got us sorted for our adventure :) we didn't book tickets online. The adorable chubby Wombats, the sweet little wallabies and sleepy Koalas! the Eager Emu's and the boisterous goats among many other awesome creatures! We absolutely LOVED our visit at this peaceful Wildlife Park and our kids had the best day feeding and patting all these cuties! Also the organic whole foods Cafe that is attached to the Wildlife park "Clean Cravings" is of the highest quality, toasted sandwiches, the Korean style Tofu Bowl and the enormous LOADED choc chip cookies are all sooo good! It was a wonderful experience, the animals and the park are clearly taken care of, I'm following them both (the park and the cafe) on Insta and hope to visit again soon, thank you .
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of any age who want hands-on wildlife contact rather than viewing from a distance. The hand-feeding format keeps kids actively engaged throughout the visit. Book the koala experience in advance if that is a priority β it fills quickly. The park relaxed, self-guided pace suits toddlers and older children equally.

βWe had a wonderful time visiting the Great Ocean Road Wildlife Park. The park is absolutely beautiful and very well-maintained, offering a serene and natural environment for the animals. While the park is relatively small compared to major city zoos, we found that it was more than enough to see everything and enjoy a more intimate experience with the wildlife. Itβs a very 'nice' and peaceful stop along the coast. The only thing to keep in mind is that it is expensive for its size. However, given the 5-star experience and the chance to see the animals in such a lovely setting, we felt it was worth the visit. A great addition to any Great Ocean Road trip!β

βFantastic wildlife park! The staff are great, so friendly & helpful. We did the Koala experience to meet Popeye, which was great. Feeding the wallabies & kangaroos was so much fun- they are very friendly! The whole park is well maintained & the animals are well cared for, would highly recommend coming here!β

βLovely wild life park, larger than we expected! Some of the animals were asleep but we had a great time petting and feeding the emus & wallabies! Food at the cafe was also really yummy and had great options! Would definitely recommend and be back again β€οΈβ

Overview
Great Ocean Road Wildlife Park offers close-contact encounters with Australian wildlife in a forested setting off the Great Ocean Road. Kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, emus, and goats roam accessible paths where hand-feeding is encouraged. A dedicated koala encounter with a resident named Popeye is available to book separately. The park is larger than it appears, well-maintained, and entirely self-guided. A cafe serves food on site. Staff are consistently praised as friendly and helpful.
