1 / 2Hartley's Crocodile Adventures
π Wangetti, QLD
Hartley features daily crocodile attack shows, lagoon boat cruises, cassowary feedings, and 2.5km of boardwalks through wetlands and rainforest. Kangaroos and wallabies roam freely in interactive areas.
We went to Hartleys yesterday and from the moment we walked in, the staff looked after us really well. Weβd booked the big croc feed, but started with the boat ride, and it absolutely delivered. Jye was not only full of good info, he was genuinely funny and kept everyone entertained, and getting that close to the crocs was a real rush. The big croc feed was easily one of the best interactive experiences Iβve ever done. Connor was an awesome guide, clearly knew a ton about all the animals, was easyβgoing, friendly and made it feel like he was introducing us to his mates at each enclosure. You can really see how much he loves what he does. Thanks Connor. Iβll definitely be back to do it all again. Well done Hartleys. Glenn & Deb.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with animal-loving kids of all ages, particularly those visiting Cairns or Port Douglas who want an authentic wildlife day. The lagoon boat cruise with Jye commentary is the standout experience β book early as capacity is capped. Wear a hat and carry water; the heat under show shade sails can be intense.

βNice place, offers a variery of native animals to see (kangaroo, wallaby, wombat, cassowary etc) and not just crocodiles even though that is what they are known for. If you are a croc lover, you have got to take the lagoon boat ride and catch the crocodile attack show to have the full croc experience here! There is even an optional add-on photo-taking session with koala, small croc, reptiles etc! Food is sold at an affordable pricing too!β

βThere are a very wide variety of endemic animals here. You are able to interact with the kangaroos and wallabies in the area. There are also koalas and reptiles here, which they seem very active. The shows here are also great, especially the crcodile show, giving the audience a detailed explanation on the characteristics of the species and giving essential tips when u are in danger with these animals.β

βIf youβre fond of reptiles this is the place to be. Best for the family day out. Highly recommended it was only 30 minutes from Port Douglas. This was our first time to see different varieties of crocs at one place. The boat ride was a great experience. Snakes, birds and lot more to see.β
