1 / 3Hills District Playground
π Arana Hills, QLD
Hills District Playground in Arana Hills is a fully fenced, large-scale playground with 7 slides, multiple swing types, a see-saw, musical stations, and dedicated toddler sections.
Unreal. One of the best Iβve been to. This place is massive. My son (18mo) had an excellent time here. We used only a portion of the park before he was cooked. The size of this park is great with some good areas to hold a party too. Excellent shade from the trees in the mornings for hours. It is exposed in the afternoon. Plenty of parking on and off street close by. Very little traffic in the area to worry about. The creek (Kedron Brook) adjacent usually has plenty of birds flying around the trees. My son loves birds so this was a nice way to wind down with a walk along the bike track as we left. I didnβt realise there are bathrooms until we left. They look like those stainless steel unbreakable type ones you see at the beach. I imagine a bit like having a wee at NASA. Yeah this place is great.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and children up to primary school age who want a large, fully enclosed playground with serious variety. The 7 slides and musical stations keep multiple kids occupied simultaneously. Morning visits are the call β natural shade fades by late morning and the metal swings get hot fast on Queensland afternoons.

βMy toddler absolutely loves this park. Known as the βorange parkβ to him. Good for kids 5 and under. My preteen admires it too! I love the garden feature theyβve added. I think thatβs a really lovely touch and adds something different to the park. Itβs fully fenced, has a restroom there and an oval to kick ball with the kids. Plenty of parking. The only thing is that it can get pretty hot, particularly on a very hot summers day. They have shade in certain spots but maybe in the future can provide a little more coverage.β

βI only realised after I'd done my Leslie Patrick Park review that The Hills District All Abilities Playground was a separate area within it. So, this playground was amazing. Lots of variety, well maintained activities and equipment, and a wonderful, secure resource for families and groups of children.πππβ

βExcellent playground with 7 slides, a variety of swings, a see-saw and various musical stations, etc. Would be even better if there were more than one baby swing. Fenced in, with plenty of seating for spectating parents.β
