β€œLovely smaller zoo, good for younger families. The water play park is not too big, but perfect for children of all ages to cool down on a hot day.”

β€œFor a little zoo you really cant fault it. Is it worth visiting 100%, less crowded than the big zoos and you get to see some of the same animals. The Meerkats are the main attraction, couldn't get the little man away and you can actually sit and enjoy without be nudged or squashed. In addition the water fun park they have is something you wont see anywhere else, especially on a hot summers day perfect for families with children. The Cafe was nice with fresh fruit available for little ones and a viewing mirror to the Meerkat enclosure, there was also a kids play area which is not fully stocked but enough to keep the small ones occupied while waiting for food. Perfect for those who are in Echuca/Moama with a 30min drive as thats where we came from. I wouldn't drive 3 hours to see it but if your close by definitely put it on the to do list. Also hats off to them for recognising DVA White and Gold card holders and also being very polite and recognising our service.”

Overview

Kyabram Fauna Park is part of the Zoos Victoria network and focuses on Australian native species. The walk-through aviary puts visitors alongside colourful birds at close range. Meerkats are a standout β€” the enclosure allows extended viewing without the crowds of larger zoos. A water splash park suits all ages on warm days, and a playground complements the animal circuit. The park is smaller and less crowded than Werribee or Melbourne Zoo.
