LITTLE VILLAGE PLAY
π Sunbury, VIC
Purpose-built indoor play centre in Sunbury featuring large slides, climbing obstacles for older kids, and a dedicated gated area for children under 4. Under new ownership with upgraded equipment and improved cleanliness.
We visited this play centre mid-week and had a fantastic experience. I also had the chance to meet the owner, who was extremely friendly and genuinely invested in making the place safer and better for families. He explained that some of the older homemade toddler sensory boards had to be removed due to insurance requirements, and heβs already replacing them with safer, purpose-built electric versions. He also talked through the future direction of the centre β fewer inflatable jumping castles and more video-game style attractions. The only thing I can see catching parents off guard is the extra cost for the games, but thatβs the case at most modern play centres. The venue itself was immaculate. All the torn padding and old wear-and-tear I saw under the previous owner have been replaced, the high surfaces were properly cleaned, and even the murals looked freshly repainted. The entire space feels brighter, fresher, and much more inviting. The staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. The food came out quickly and was fresh, which isnβt always guaranteed at places like this, so that was a pleasant surprise. We came with our kids β my wife played with them while I got some work done β and it was a comfortable environment to relax in. There were a few other dads there with their children, and everyone seemed happy and well accommodated. Some older reviews mention strict rules, but honestly, the rules are just standard insurance and safety requirements. On our visit, the staff werenβt strict at all β they were warm, calm, and professional. Overall, a great play centre thatβs clearly improving under the new owner. Clean, friendly, safe, and family-focused. Weβll definitely be back.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with mixed ages β the gated toddler zone means under-4s can play freely without interference from bigger kids on the main equipment. New management has raised the bar on both equipment quality and birthday party organisation. Reviewers who visited under the previous operator note a clear step-up in atmosphere and safety.

βWe had our sons 5th birthday party at Little Village Play today and it was a fantastic experience. I thought McDougalls was great but the new owners have taking it up to the next level. The centre has been cleaned up with new equiptment. The organisation of the party was also great with clear communication and scheduale setting. I love it when a business is taken over by people who give their all to improve it. You've done a wonderful job and we will be back!β

βCame back to this place after a long time and wow, what a transformation! The new management has really uplifted the whole vibe. The coffee is absolutely amazing. We popped in just an hour before closing and the owner even gave my little one a free lollipop so sheβd be happy as she didnβt want to leave so soon!. Such a thoughtful touchβdefinitely coming back again.β
