1 / 2Mildura Arts Centre
π Mildura, VIC
Cultural precinct in Mildura featuring contemporary art galleries, a performance theatre, the heritage-listed 1891 Rio Vista Historic House, an outdoor sculpture park, and the Vista Cafe Bar serving local produce.
Small but cozy art centre with full of stories. Get welcomed by friendly staff and clean environment when looking around. The historical Rio house was well maintained and the air inside of the house was clean and fresh (NOT mouldy, old granny house smell which could interrupt viewing). The other section of has performing art, so see whether there is any performance event available when visiting Mildura. Absolutely, highly recommend - one of the must visit to place in Mildura
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 6+ who can engage with museum-style exhibits and historic house tours. The outdoor sculpture garden and lawned areas give younger children space to move between indoor sections.

βThis was such a wonderful museum. From walking up to the museum itself, itβs beautifully well kept flora and public displays of art. We were able to walk around for quite some time and the front desk receptionist were very helpful. The museum was broken up into the old house. And also the art section as well. Everything was very stunning and it was lovely to have seen all the aboriginal pieces.β

βWe have been here multiple times. Fantastic food for a morning tea or light lunch. Great customer service. And the setting is perfect - sitting inside, under the Rio Vista verandah or under the shade of the large jacaranda tree. Such a quiet, spacious and memorable location.β

Overview
Mildura Arts Centre combines four distinct experiences: rotating contemporary art galleries with a strong Aboriginal art collection, the heritage-listed Rio Vista Historic House built in 1891, an outdoor sculpture park set across landscaped gardens with a large jacaranda tree, and a performance theatre hosting concerts, comedy, and children's shows including Bluey's Big Play. The Vista Cafe Bar serves local produce with indoor, verandah, and garden seating options.
