π Moorabbin Airport, VIC
Moorabbin Air Museum is a volunteer-run museum at Moorabbin Airport with a collection of historic aircraft, open cockpits for hands-on exploration, aviation memorabilia, and a flight simulator.
Visited the museum as tourists with kids; it was fun and enjoyable. Many of the planesβ cockpits are open for visitors to sit in and take photos. Lots of planes here to view and understand the history of Australian aviation. There is also a flight simulator machine. I think itβs a nice place to visit!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children who are drawn to planes, machines, or Australian history. The open cockpits are the standout feature β kids who love aircraft will want to sit in every one. The flight simulator adds hands-on engagement beyond static displays.

βItβs not a huge place, but the entry ticket is worth every penny. Despite its size, they managed to fit as many displays as possible. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the planes, and having a seat in a fighter jet was an amazing experience. Itβs definitely worth visiting and a must-see place.β

βGreat aviation museum to visit especially while herself is busy in the DFO nearby, vgood price and lots to read and see. Got to sit in a lot of cockpits (not usual for aviation museums) so was very happy with that. Highly recommend if youβre passing this way .β

βEnjoyed hanging out here with my wife and my son. We really enjoy going in and out of the planes and reading through some of their history. Definitely worth the visit, especially if your kids are into planes and other machinesβ
