1 / 3Solitary Islands Aquarium
π Coffs Harbour, NSW
Coffs Harbour aquarium showcasing native Solitary Islands marine life with hands-on touch tanks, shark and octopus feeding sessions, and an underwater bubble for close encounters. Marine scientist staff run educational sessions throughout the day.
It was a great little adventure for the kids. Itβs not a big place by any means, but it was the perfect size to keep them entertained without feeling overwhelming. The touch tank was a real highlight β the kids had so much fun exploring, and a staff member talked them through all the sea creatures, which made it even more engaging. The shark feeding was also fantastic to watch, especially with the bubble in the tank where the kids could pop their heads up for a closer look. A simple but memorable outing!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 3-10 who respond to hands-on animal encounters with knowledgeable guides. The touch tank and feeding sessions provide structured engagement that holds attention well. Compact format means it works as a focused 60-90 minute visit rather than a full-day destination β pairs well with Coffs Harbour foreshore.
