We had absolutely fantastic day at Symbio Wildlife Park! From the moment we arrived, the experience was fun, family-friendly, and perfect for all ages. Feeding the animals was definitely a highlight β it was such a special and interactive experience, and the kids absolutely loved getting up close to so many beautiful animals. The water park side was another big hit. The kids had the best time cooling off and playing, and it was a great way to round out the day after exploring the wildlife park. Overall, Symbio is such a wonderful place for a full day out. Itβs well set up, enjoyable for both kids and adults, and packed with memorable experiences. We all had so much fun and canβt wait to visit again!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of all ages wanting hands-on animal encounters combined with water play in a manageable-sized park. The kangaroo feeding and koala handling are the centrepiece experiences.

βYou can see the animals up close here. The penguins were so cute, and the kids absolutely loved feeding the kangaroos. We didnβt realise and bought the tickets at the entrance, but since we went as a group, there was quite a price difference compared to buying online. Itβs definitely better to purchase tickets in advance. Itβs quiet, clean, and very well maintained. There are also lots of koalas. Honestly, itβs much better than the zoo right in the middle of Sydney city.β

βWe enjoyed our visit overall, but we did feel that other locals zooβs offered a much better experience for a very similar price. We chose this wildlife park hoping for a more up-close and personal experience with the animals. Unfortunately, it was extremely busy, with large groups of people surrounding the animals. Many of them seemed to be trying to get away, which was quite sad to see β especially as there were lots of children chasing the animals and no staff stepping in to stop it. That said, the staff themselves were absolutely lovely β friendly, chatty, and clearly passionate about the animals and their care, which really showed. The park is a nice size: small enough to comfortably get around in a few hours, with the option to loop back around again. Thereβs also plenty of space to sit and enjoy a picnic, which we appreciated. We did get to stroke a wallaby, kangaroo, and even a Tasmanian devil, which was a highlight. However, the additional animal experiences were quite expensive, and we were glad we didnβt pay extra β especially as the photos were simply taken on an iPhone. Overall, a nice visit with caring staff, but due to the crowds and value for money, we personally felt Taronga Zoo offered a better experience.β

βA beautiful wildlife park with a manageable size, making it easy to explore and suitable for all ages. One of the highlights is the direct interaction with the animals and the opportunity to feed them, which makes the experience especially enjoyable for kids. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Moreover there is a lovely water splash park inside it that is perfect for children β fun, safe, and not overwhelming β with clean changing rooms nearby. There is no restaurant offering full breakfast or lunch meals, but there is a cafeteria serving drinks, sandwiches & snacks. Additionally, there is a nice and charming gift shop for souvenirs. Highly recommended for a relaxed and family-friendly visit πΏβ

Symbio Wildlife Park covers 20 acres in Helensburgh with walk-through kangaroo enclosures, koala encounters, penguin exhibits, farmyard animals, and reptile displays. The dedicated splash park is the only one attached to a Sydney-area zoo. Animal feeding sessions and keeper talks run throughout the day. Birthday party packages are available with picnic areas. Arriving at opening provides quieter access to enclosures before larger tour groups arrive.
