Wow amazing educational and stimulating fun place for from kinder age to grade 6. So many activities to entertain and learn from in a fun way. After an exhausting few hours, time to kick back in the cafe for a well earnt coffee. Staff were all friendly and helpful, even taking the time to show us live insect exhibits and ensure the kids experience to be inside a full size bubble! Well worth the visit
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children from kinder through Grade 6 who thrive on self-directed exploration. The no-instructions policy works particularly well for curious kids who like to figure things out. Toddlers have their own dedicated space. Weekday or early morning visits reduce crowding and increase access to staff engagement.

“Very big place for our kids to run around and playing scientists! They loved uncovering the fossils and exploring the pinscreen. Decent space for us parents to sit down and have coffees while the kids are playing.”

“We visited Twisted Science Moorabbin on the weekend and had such a fun experience! Since we reached early in the morning, it wasn’t too crowded at first, though more families arrived as the day went on. My son had an amazing time exploring the exhibits. He especially loved making and launching paper rockets, creating giant bubbles, and watching balls zoom around with air pressure, kaleidoscope. The insect microscope station, mirror maze, and block play area kept him busy and curious for hours. There’s so much hands-on learning and creativity packed into this space! Parents can either relax in the seating areas or join the kids in the activities—I joined in and it was fun for me too. We spent a few hours there and really enjoyed it. A great place to visit at least once, especially if you have curious kids who love experimenting and exploring.”

“Had so much fun playing at twisted science, the parking is big and free, the staff is super friendly, the only negative thing I found was that some of the exhibits were not operational and some of the fixes are not very good, the stop motion studio is amazing but the overhead lighting is out so the final film changes with the shadows around, the opposite for the upside down, there’s too much lighting making shadows come from the bottom when you vertical flip the photos, I would recommend some stoplights from the floor, the bubbles mix wasn’t the best but maybe that’s why is trying not to use chemicals? The live reptiles and bugs section was cute, the bearded dragon might need a bigger enclosure, had fun and made lots of memories with family.”
