It was my great good fortune to see Victorian Opera's production of Abduction at the Palais Theatre on Saturday 16 August. It was a great performance of Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio with the original music and the "modernized" arias beautifully sung in German and the connecting "book" in modern English with excellent staging, costuming and sets.
