Fantastic guided walk to experience animals in their natural environment. To know that the dollars you spent on the tour also goes back into their research was a nice feeling. Beautiful landscape, expert tour guide and easy to traverse paths made the experience exceptional. Having been to see so many other native wildlife experiences, it certainly is far more exciting to see them in their own environment and free to move around, and away, as they please. Well done Wildlife Wonders! Highly recommended.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want a genuine wildlife encounter beyond zoo fences. The guided format means guides tailor commentary to kids and adults alike. Tracks are easy enough that a pregnant woman completed the walk without difficulty, so younger or less active family members are fine. Morning sessions offer the best wildlife activity.

“Thank you very much for the great tour. To see what you are doing to help to conserve the endangered animals is great. It was awesome to have a tour guide who is actually working and studying the whole area including its animals and plants. Seems to be not very easy at times. Your field studies are very interesting and it’s great to know that all the money spent goes to fund your researches. Thanks again for all the information you gave us during the tour and keep up the good work.”

“A tour of a beautiful place, about 1 hour and 10 minutes long, was a very nice walk. My wife is pregnant and she did it with ease, so there were definitely no problems. The kids loved it Animals walk past you or hop away, they are very content and look very happy. It's quite big with beautiful trees. Some of the trees there are just as old as the dinosaurs and still look amazing. I got some great pictures out of it too. I definitely recommend it, and the coffee was nice.”

“Had a wonderful morning tour with our big family group. Sarah Mc was a fantastic & knowledgeable guide. Easy tracks to walk the different biodiversity’s on the 90 minute tour. We were really lucky to see koalas, emus, wallabies, pademelons, long necked tortoises, gang gang cockatoos & lots of other bush birds. Great cafe for coffee & lunch. Fantastic selection of books in the shop. Highly recommend if you’re on the Great Ocean Road passing through Apollo Bay.”
