Beautiful gardens. Recommend to take the scenic drive around the property first. Signs are located as soon as you drive in. It will bring you up to a carpark. Perfect place to take in the views, have a picnic, or short stroll to the wonderful cafe. Allow yourself a few hours or plan the day. Public Toilets are available. Beautiful walking trails amongst the trees, gorgeous unique flowers. Highly recommend the cafe for a bite and coffee.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families visiting the Daylesford region who want a free, unhurried outdoor activity that works across ages. The tower climb satisfies curious kids as parents appreciate the shaded paths and cafe stop. Toddlers and pram users can manage the main paths easily.

âBeautiful gardens! This is a lovely, quiet, serene place to walk or sit. I was disappointed that what looked like a lake on the map turned out to be a covered reservoir. However, to make up for that disappointment is the fact that the stairs to the lookout tower were not locked! Definitely worth a trip to the gardens for the beautiful landscaping, but don't miss the views from the tower. Great photo app for the surrounding area!â

âIf you in Daylesford, go and see this little botanic garden. A little bit neglected but just in the right way to make your mind wander... Go on a quiet evening and watch the sunset or marvel at some of the big feature trees. Don't forget to walk through the fernery below the car park...â

Overview
The gardens feature mature specimen trees that create a canopy of shade across the walking paths, with colourful seasonal flower beds throughout. The Pioneer Tower is open to climb and delivers panoramic views of the Daylesford-Hepburn Springs region. A hidden fernery sits below the main car park and is worth seeking out. The on-site cafe serves food and drinks with outdoor seating. A scenic drive loops the full property with signage from the entry gate.
