1 / 2Woodford Railway Station
đ Woodford, QLD
Woodford Railway Station is built from salvaged QGR structures and runs a scenic heritage train to Woodford Gardens cafe at the other end. Volunteer staff explain locomotive history along the way. Toilets at both the station and the cafe.
Fantastic little train ride that takes you to Woodford garden cafe. Very friendly and helpful staff/ volunteers. Great for any age! Toilets at the train station, also at the cafe.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with train-loving kids of any age who enjoy a relaxed, story-rich experience over a fast-paced attraction. The volunteer commentary makes the ride genuinely educational. The cafe endpoint gives parents good coffee and a reason to linger. Toddlers and older children both respond well to the short journey format.

âAn attractive station, Woodford station has been constructed using historical structures from the former QGR stations at D'aguilar and Wamuran, as well as the old Northgate workshops. There is a small historical display and shop as well, with a range of books on Queensland railway topics. Unfortunately, they closed for a lunch break before they could relieve us of any more money!!â

âAmazing experience! The kids love riding the train. The volunteers are kind and spend so much time explaining everything to the kids. The cafe had good coffee but took a long time.â
