Ashcombe Maze & Lavender Garden is an absolute gem and one of the most beautiful places to spend a day. The moment you arrive, you’re surrounded by the most stunning, fragrant lavender fields and perfectly manicured gardens that feel straight out of a storybook. The hedge maze is so much fun β€” beautifully maintained, surprisingly challenging, and perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a bit of adventure. The fairy & gnome hunt is just the cherry on the cake - I’m not sure who had more fun, us parents or our kids? Lavender ice cream is a must try. Loved that the lady put the popcorn maker on as we arrived. The grounds are incredibly peaceful, with plenty of lovely spots to wander, relax, and take photos. You can tell how much care and pride goes into every part of the garden. The cafΓ© is wonderful too, offering delicious treats with friendly service and a cosy atmosphere. Overall, Ashcombe is a place that leaves you smiling long after you leave. A perfect blend of beauty, serenity, and fun. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Mornington Peninsula β€” a truly unforgettable experience! πŸŒΏπŸ’œβœ¨

The lavender ice cream is a genuine highlight worth prioritising at the cafe.

β€œWe visited Ashcombe Maze & Lavender Gardens and absolutely loved it. The place is extremely family-friendly and thoughtfully designed for children. There are so many fun activities for kids, including a playground, gnome hunt, and fairy search, which kept our younger child entertained for hours. The maze itself is very well designed and challenging enough that our teenage son really enjoyed it too. We also appreciated the family discount (2 adults + 2 kids), which made the visit very affordable. The cafe is beautiful and relaxing β€” such a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the surroundings. If you have an annual pass, this is definitely a place you’d want to visit often. Highly recommended for families! πŸŒΏβœ¨β€

β€œWe visited mainly for our child, and the moment they heard there was a maze you could actually walk into, they were instantly fascinated. After enjoying a scoop of lavender ice cream at the spacious cafΓ©, we headed into the maze. The view of the maze from the lookout platform in the center was absolutely beautiful. After passing through two mazes, we reached a large open park β€” a perfect spot for a picnic. This is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to.”

β€œThis place is truely stunning and well worth a visit. Very family friendly place with plenty of things to see and do including beautiful gardens and a hedge maze plus games like bowls, bocce and hoop toss. The cafe serves nice fish and chips, calamari and there were stalls selling local wines and gins plus a great wood fired pizza truck.”
