We had a fantastic experience at Tree Surfing and would highly recommend it for families with children. My child had an amazing time and was smiling from start to finish. It was great to see how the activities helped build confidence and courage, while also improving coordination and balance in a fun and safe way. For children under 135 cm, there are three different levels available, which is excellent. Each level offers a good challenge without being overwhelming, so kids can gradually push themselves and try all three levels at their own pace. It’s a wonderful way for them to feel a real sense of achievement after completing each course. The park itself is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and very well maintained. It’s a perfect place to bring some food and enjoy a picnic before or after the activities. Another big plus is the location — it’s very close to Rosebud Beach, making it easy to plan a full day out. Tree Surfing in the morning and the beach in the afternoon is a perfect combination. Overall, it’s a fun, active and memorable experience for kids and a great choice for a family day trip.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for energetic families with children aged 5 and up who want sustained outdoor physical challenges. The tree surfing builds genuine confidence and coordination in a supervised environment. Plan for cooler weather or a morning arrival — the lack of water play and shade makes hot days uncomfortable.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Arrive in the morning to avoid heat and have time for all activities before closing
Pack your own food, water, and a cooler — on-site cafe has a sparse range
🎟️Tree surfing is a separate cost — budget for it before arrival if it is a priority
🚗Combine with Rosebud Beach for a beach cool-down after the park

If your kids love running, climbing and exploring, this place is such a good option. We visited Enchanted Adventure on the Mornington Peninsula and the kids were busy the entire time. There’s heaps to do with hedge mazes, giant puzzles, tube slides and nature playgrounds. The treetop walks are an extra (we didn’t do those), and there’s still more than enough to keep kids entertained. We loved wandering through the gardens, spotting sculptures, and watching the kids race down the slides again… and again 😂 It’s a great outdoor spot that keeps kids active and happy, with something for different ages. We spent hours here and easily could’ve stayed longer. Would definitely recommend for a fun family day out not too far from Melbourne. We used ExperienceOZ for discounted general entry

Wasn't excited about driving 3 hours to get there but it was worth it. The kids had a great time and the park and gardens are beautiful. The slides were fun (although might need some maintenance soon) and walking up the hill with the tubes was an effort (I'd hate to do it on a hot day). The kids were kept busy and had a ball. If we could afford the tree surfing we would have done it as it looked fu, however having 3 kids it was expensive enough just to get in. The toilets needed a good clean also. Going forward I'd highly recommend a splash park where we can all go to cool off.

We had a great day overall, though it was quite hot. A water play area or splash zone would be a great addition for summer days, as there’s nowhere to cool down. We brought our own packed food, fruit, and a cooler with water, which was definitely needed in the heat. The only thing we purchased there was ice cream. My daughter enjoyed most of the courses until the final one, where another child rushed onto the course while she was still on it, causing it to swing and making it difficult for her to cross. I did call out for the child to wait, as others had done, but she didn’t listen. That situation could have been handled better with supervision. We really enjoyed the tube slides, interactive play areas, and mazes. We stayed for about 2.5 hours to make the most of the cost, but the heat eventually became too much. One disappointment was with the “nibbles” tree climb. Children under 135cm are meant to be accompanied by a parent, however I was denied entry with my daughter as staff said they try to reserve this course for kids only. Later on, while my eldest daughter completed the course on her own, I noticed several adults accompanying children who appeared the same height or smaller than my youngest. This felt inconsistent and confusing. Overall, it was a good one-time experience, but probably not somewhere we’d return to. Reply to owner - my daughter is 6 and is 130cm, you stated kids under 135cm can have an adult accompany them. Maybe change the wording if they are over 5 and under 135cm they are to go on alone!!
