Australian Country Music Hall of Fame
đ Tamworth, NSW
Extensive collection of Australian country music memorabilia across multiple floors, featuring stage outfits, instruments, handmade leather works, and Rodney Walker's one-man band ensemble. Informational videos and rotating displays.
Fantastic facility. Lots of great displays and videos to watch. Informative and entertaining. And this expat Kiwi was pleased to find out that Tex Morton, the "Father of Australian Country Music" was a New Zealander (as is Keith Urban).
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children and music-interested adults, particularly those with a connection to classic Australian country. The documentary films add genuine depth for curious visitors. Multi-generational groups where grandparents can provide context get the most out of the displays.

Overview
The Australian Country Music Hall of Fame in Tamworth covers the full arc of the genre through stage costumes, instruments, leather works, and the celebrated one-man band ensemble. Three floors and a basement include rotating displays that dig into performers' backstories and lesser-known histories. Short documentary films run throughout. Self-guided touring lets families move at their own pace. Tex Morton's New Zealand origins and Keith Urban's early career feature prominently.
