1 / 2Boathouse Reserve Playground
π Caroline Springs, VIC
Playground at the northeastern end of Caroline Lake featuring climbing structures, metal tunnel slide, whale springer, sandpit with mechanical digger, swings, and an adjacent outdoor gym.
A plenty of sports and game facilities for kids, teens and families. Table tennis, swings, slides and more. If you are tired or want peaceful nature, look at the birds in the water and pillars. There are many seagulls, ducks, swans and seabirds. A really appealing lake though the water is muddy. You can also go picnicking or sunbathing there. Bring the cloth. Enjoy the food, drinks and the sunshine. There are a lot of birdsβ poop which attracts flies. Insect repellent and sunscreen are recommended. Donβt apply on the food. Apply on your skin or clothes before coming. If you are hungry or thirsty, you can go shopping in the nearby shopping center, the CS Square. You can also use the movable toilets at the edge of the lake but they are unclean and messy. Nice to walk dogs, jog or cycle on the trail.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want a calm lakeside visit combined with playground time β the wildlife and lake views add genuine texture to the outing. Children who engage with nature as much as play equipment will get the most from it. The aggressive swan population requires active supervision near the water.

βMeduim sized park with good views and wildlife to keep the kids entertained. Keep them away from the massive swans they will get attacked hahahaha watched it happen a few times. Apart from that a great place to sit in peace. Also take your time to walk around the lake its fantastic little 30mins walk.β

Overview
Boathouse Reserve Playground overlooks Caroline Springs Lake, with climbing equipment, a wide metal tunnel slide, sandpit with mechanical digger, whale springer, and swing sets. Natural rock seating lines the lake edge where ducks, swans, and seabirds congregate. An outdoor gym sits nearby for adults. The large swans are known to be aggressive β supervision around the water edge is essential. Portable toilets are available on-site; reviewers note cleanliness varies.
