1 / 3Chermside Aquatic Centre & Water Park
π Chermside, QLD
Features over 200m of twisty water slides including the Flume of Doom and Serpent Slide, plus a splash lagoon, 25m outdoor lap pool, and heated indoor pool. Waterpark operates weekends and school holidays from October to April.
After reading some mixed reviews, I felt the only way to form my own opinion was to visit the place myself. So here it is...my review, and itβs a 5 star experience. In terms of value for money, you canβt beat this place. If youβre going to compare it to Wet n Wild, keep in mind that itβs nothing like it, which is not a bad thing. This park has its own appeal and its own level of fun. My kids loved it. The slides are fun, the water is warm, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. We are a family of four, and tickets plus food cost us just over $100. You really canβt beat that for a full day of family fun. The line ups were short, and there was plenty of seating available. In my opinion, many of the 1 star reviews are simply people having a whinge for no real reason and should probably keep those comments to themselves.
π Family Action Verdict
Families with school-age kids get exceptional water-ride variety for the entry cost β pre-booked tickets make it noticeably cheaper than theme parks. Families with toddlers under 4 face a hurdle: the lagoon sits inside the waterpark zone and requires full adult admission when slides are open.

βGreat Water Park! Visited during busy school holiday period. Pre booked tickets $60 for 2 x adults and 1 x kid much cheaper than a theme park. We were greeted and processed quickly to enter. Toilets were plentiful and clean. Lockers were inexpensive and easy to use. Pools were clean- water slides were fun and the lifeguards were on the ball. Plenty of shaded seating. The cafe processed a large number of people quickly and politely. The food and drinks were well priced, good quality and tasty. Thanks for a nice day- my child had a ball πβ

βHad a birthday party here for my 7 year old. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and it was a stress free day. Got all the kids food orders on the day and gave them to the staff and let them know when we wanted it to come out. They stored our cake for us too. We had our own area with tables and chairs under the shade cloth and had it for the whole day if we wanted. Great day and I would recommend having kids party here.β

Overview
Chermside Aquatic Centre packs Brisbane's largest waterpark into one site: Flume of Doom, Serpent Slide, shotgun attractions, and a splash lagoon. Year-round, the 25m outdoor lap pool, indoor heated pool, children's play pool, and learn-to-swim programs keep all ages active. Lockers are inexpensive, lifeguards are attentive, and the cafe offers food at reasonable prices. Admission covers the full waterpark complex when slides are running.
