I had such a fun time here! :-) This playground features a GIGANTIC slide that is not for the faint at heart (or those with a fear of heights!). The top of the slide starts from a height twice as high as the nearby double-storey houses. Going down this slide provides roller-coaster worthy experience, with high speeds, unexpected twist and turns, and even pitch-black darkness at certain moments. However, do not worry if you aren't brave enough for this slide, there are a few other smaller slides around. There is also a rock climbing wall and rope structures for climbing at this playground. This playground has a section that is suitable for the littler ones, featuring a sandpit, mini slide, smaller things to climb on and crawl through, etc... Moreover, there is a sheltered seating area and BBQ pit next to the playground. There is also a half basketball court and a small skate park nearby.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for school-age kids who want genuine thrills from the tall tower slides, with enough in the toddler sandpit zone to keep younger siblings busy simultaneously. The height of the main slide is not suitable for nervous or very young children. Plan toilet stops before arriving — there are no facilities on site.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

💡Use the toilets at a nearby venue before arriving — there are none on site
⏰The main tower slide starts from above double-storey height — assess before sending hesitant children up
đŸŽŸī¸The sandpit and smaller slides at the base keep toddlers engaged independently
🚗BBQ area is in the open with no shelter — bring your own shade if planning to cook

“There's a huge, powerful slide! We were very excited. We were very excited to go down it, but it can be a little dangerous for small children as it is quite fast. Instead, there is a small slide for the little ones. Unfortunately, despite being such a large park, there were no restrooms for some reason.”

“Great park with awesome rides for kids. Sandpits, big slides, swings. Great place to spend time with friends and family. The only drawback is the place lacks a toilet. Also the bbq is located in open space which might be a concern during rainy days but yeah good place for a small picnic. Must visit place to spend few mins with lids if around clyde.”

Overview

Eliston District Park Playground is anchored by a three-storey tower with slides reviewers describe as roller-coaster fast — the top sits well above the nearby double-storey houses. A separate sandpit zone with smaller slides is set aside for toddlers. Additional climbing structures and swings round out the equipment. The playground is free to access. Reviewers note there are no toilets on site, and the BBQ area is exposed with no shelter.
