1 / 3Event Cinemas Bondi Junction
π Bondi Junction, NSW
Multiplex inside Westfield Bondi Junction with IMAX, 4DX, and ScreenX in addition to standard screens. Convenient for combining with shopping and dining. Family sessions attract mixed-age crowds.
Awesome cinema but please make 18+ sessions for Avatar movies and all future Avatar movies. I watched Fire and Ash yesterday and there were parents treating it like a 3 hour daycare. Their kids dancing around the cinema, blocking the screen until they were told off, and then proceeded to talk the ENTIRE 3 HOURS. Their parents did nothing. Something similar to this happened to me when I went to see Avatar 2. Please make 18+ sessions with NO. KIDS. Even when I go to Gold Class there are still kids everywhere. Gold Class is supposed to be 18+ yet it is overrun by kids every time I go. Even when I go as late as 8.20pm on a Sunday night. Still kids. I literally waited years to see these movies only for them to be ruined by parents who are too busy stuffing their faces to realise that their spawn is ruining the movies for everyone else. Please make 18+ sessions for Avatar with no kids. We just want to watch the movie in peace.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want to combine a movie with a Westfield outing and prefer the Bondi Junction location. Book IMAX or 4DX for the best screen-format value in the complex. Standard sessions during school holidays attract noisy crowds β consider session timing and screen format carefully.

βEvent Cinemas Bondi Junction is a great place to watch movies. The location is convenient, the theaters are clean, and the seats are comfortable. The sound and picture quality are excellent, and thereβs a wide variety of snacks and drinks available. Itβs also nice that the cinema is inside Westfield, so you can shop or eat before or after the movie.β

βGold class - on arrival I noticed around and under our seats had so much rubbish, food , popcorn etc ( it was a lot) , the usher was close by and I mentioned it to her , the response was it gets cleaned once a WEEK!!! but they wipe the chairs and table for every session. I would have expected better especially in gold class .β

βI planned my visit carefully. 120 minute movie. Session starting at 3:15pm. The blurb told to get there 15 minutes early. I had my trip home planned for the length of the movie and 15 minutes of adverting before the movie, so everything planned for my transport home. But advertising went for 25 minutes before the movie started. That alone would have destroyed my plans, even if I had left when the credits started at the end of the movie. But then, 10 minutes into the movie the sound cut out for 10 minutes, demolishing an integral part of the story. So I walked out. I will NEVER return. I paid and planned to see a movie. Not the equivalent of a quarter of the movie in advertising. Never again. And I will never have to watch all that advertising again.β

Overview
Event Cinemas Bondi Junction sits inside Westfield with direct access to shopping and restaurant precincts. Screen formats include IMAX, 4DX, and ScreenX alongside standard auditoriums. Pre-movie advertising runs to 25 minutes before the feature. Gold Class seat cleanliness has been reported as poor β one screen confirmed cleaned only once weekly. Temperature regulation is inconsistent across auditoriums. Audience disruption during family film sessions has drawn multiple complaints.
