1 / 2HOYTS Entertainment Quarter
π Moore Park, NSW
Twelve-screen HOYTS with reclining seats, LUX premium experiences, ONYX sessions, birthday party packages, and a playground in the surrounding Entertainment Quarter precinct. Cheaper than nearby Bondi and Randwick cinemas.
Love this cinema and was surprised that the price was cheaper than a few other nearby cinemas in Bondi and Randwick. Yummy popcorn. Smooth purchase of tickets online, food and relaxing seats to watch a movie. The surrounding area is also very convenient with a playground outside.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children who want a comfortable reclining-seat experience at competitive pricing. The outdoor playground makes pre-film time easy for families with younger kids. Book online and arrive before session changeover to avoid queues at the candy bar.

βLocated at The Entertainment Quarter, 206 Bent Street, Moore Park, New South Wales, Australia π¦πΊ This is a pretty good cinematic experience to come here but I think itβs pretty similar to other Hoyts Cinemas I have been to. No more and no less. Very clean and impressively designed, creating an inviting, atmosphere. The seats in the cinemas are sooo comfortable and I love that you can fully recline your seat. The food and beverage is expensive but thatβs to be expected. The selection of beverages including wines and beer is pretty impressive but also again, expensive. I paid $22.00 concession (membership price) concession which I thought was expensive. I booked my ticket on the Hoyts App. The staff were courteous but you could tell their heart was there. They didnβt seem to care either way. I wanted to get a frozen drink but the machine wasnβt ready yet (it was the beginning of the day), I feel they should have got the machine ready so that can buy these drinks from the first movie session. Unless you have a car, getting to this cinema is a bit of a track. I had to get the light rail π from Central Station to the Moore Park light rail stop and walk from there. I came to this cinema because I heard it was pretty good but I donβt think I would really go out of my way to come back. Itβs a good cinema and if you drive, I would recommend. Average π€·ββοΈβ

βWalked into a FILTHY cinema room. They hadnβt cleaned anything from the previous movie. When the ads started thatβs when they came in to clean β¦.. maybe it was a bad day and they were running behind but I find it unacceptable. Iβll add that the boys that were cleaning seemed like they were doing their best.β

βWorst cinema I've ever been to. February 4th, 2026 - theater 11, while watching Avatar 3, was extremely hot. I asked three times for the air conditioning to be turned on; they said it was already on but it wasnβt. Everyone was incredibly hot; it was unbearable. My friend complained too, and then they said all the room were like that. But when we made the booking, they didn't mention this; they just took our money and left us in the uncomfortable theater. This is inhumane. I will pursue my rights; I have proof and witnesses, along with others who complained and felt uncomfortable. Worst cinema I've ever been to in my life.β
