“First time attending this cinema. We purchased our tickets online which we found extremely easy to navigate. The cinema itself was clean and comfortable. (Heads up, the seats do not recline.) Event Cinema is in the old Myer centre. Now known as Uptown, in the Queen Street Mall, Brisbane. If you enter via Queen St Mall or Elizabeth Street, take lifts 8 & 9 or 10 & 11) and you will come straight out to it. The cinema has all your favourite snacks to enhance your experience. I, myself, couldn't resist the choc mint choctop ice cream. Very enjoyable afternoon.”

“My local cinema, most staff are friendly and great. Just wish cleaning up around seats was done more frequently.. unfortunately others leave rubbish 🗑 for staff to clean and not always able to. Its one of the best in the area thou. Ive tried the others with attending events and it's why I always go here when taking myself.”

“Situated at the top of the Uptown section of Queen Street Mall, this is a very friendly and accessible movie theatre. We went during the day to watch Tron Ares and it was definitely a great experience of picking up tickets and food. The staff were very helpful. The only issues we had was that the theatre we were in felt dirty and it looked old / worn out with the seating. Considering the location of this theatre, I was expecting the cinemas to be fresh, vibrant and up-to-date inside but the interior was not appealing. Hopefully they can do some renovations to the seats.”

“Great location, games arcade near by. Nice seats. Great service. However you watch 45min of ads and 1hr movie is what it feels like for $22 a ticket (x 3). If they had $10 tickets, they would have more people than 10 per sitting and I would of spend $50 at the candy bar. Due to the price of tickets we didn't spend any money at the candy bar. $66 vs $80. Good luck to the future of cinema's.”
