My husband and I came here to watch The Conjuring: The Last Rites. There was only 1 staff member on and she was lovely, my husband asked if he could look inside and she said "I am just cleaning in there but if you don't mind that then sure" My god it's beautiful, we had to take photos and it was the perfect place to watch this movie. My husband said "it won't get dark in here because of all the light" when the movie started that room got dark pretty quick. We only had one problem and it was the 4 other people that came in that decided it wasn't a movie but a bar. That aside I will definitely be going back, especially for the onion rings.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families who value atmosphere and film variety over multiplex technology. The heritage interior creates a genuinely different outing — kids who enjoy older films or special screenings will find it memorable. Parents who grew up going to this cinema report it as a nostalgia experience that lands well across generations.

Five Star Cinema is a unique local gem with a cozy and atmospheric vibe. The environment is clean, the seats are spacious and comfortable, and the overall viewing experience is excellent. What makes it truly special is its regular screenings of classic or rare films—not just mainstream blockbusters. The sound and visuals are impressive, the staff are friendly, and the snacks are pretty good too. Definitely a cinema worth revisiting.

It is always a unique experience of watching movies in this cinema, a heritage-listed building. Don't expect high picture quality and sound standard but I can say the ticket is worth every penny you spend. The staff are nice and friendly and will always help you.

I love this cinema! The place is beautiful and has an old Hollywood vibe. It's a good place to go if you want to watch something different. But they also have the blockbusters and good popcorn!
