Fitzroy Swimming Pool

“Pretty good, have definitely seen better but it’s just a 50m outdoor pool. If that’s what you’re looking for it’s definitely worth the trip. Pool is not super heated so if you stay in one spot you’ll go cold. Plenty of clean changing facilities, I really enjoyed the outdoor hot shower to rinse off after the swim. Pool is on the old side, but relatively clean. Bits of debri and strange shapes on the bottom of the pool so not 100% clean. Went around 2pm on a Monday and it wasn’t that busy, managed to get a lane to myself. Parking is very annoying; you need to find a free spot on one of the one way streets around the place.”

“Had a lovely swim here when visiting Melbourne. There are so many lanes that there was plenty of space and all staff were friendly and helpful. Have recommended to other travellers on the way as a great place for a swim!”

“It is a community center equipped with gym and pool. I have only used the gym as the location is within a very short distance from my B&B. The gym is laid out in circular form with center being the staircase access. Place isn't big as weightlifting stations and cardio equipment are on the same floor. It is functional (for me at least) but it does get busy and you might need to wait. The price is ~24AUD for gym access only, I would rate that on the expensive side as it is comparable to how the commercial gyms charge and they have a lot of gym equipment. Overall, it serves its purpose for me.”

“What a great old pool Water was good ,visually very busy trying to pack in as many amenities as possible. Only 1 sad thing At the deep end of the pool the sign Danger Deep Water has been painted over .”
