📍 Cheltenham, VIC
Flow Climbing in Cheltenham offers indoor bouldering on v0–v7 routes with no time limit on entry. Beginner classes, Youth Squad programs, family passes, equipment rental, and an on-site café. Dog-friendly.
What a vibe! Beginner friendly. You can easily spend some time hear and you’re charged for entry, not time so you can climb as long as your body will allow. Which isn’t that long for me but it was lovely to take our time, hang out, have a coffee and just take it slow. They have good deals for beginners (like a week free after signup plus a week for referrals). There are posters up offering classes for kids and adults, various memberships that can include classes, a host of options. There’s are key system for the skill level of each climb and where to start. They offer a YouTube video (made by the facility) on how it all works, which also includes important safety guides for you to follow. The folks working there were super lovely and helpful getting us started and know how to work the coffee machine.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families new to climbing who want to take their time learning without feeling rushed. The pay-per-entry model removes pressure, and the café makes extended visits comfortable. Advanced climbers seeking high-volume route variety may find the selection sparse — this gym rewards technique over quantity.
