Very refreshing and informative, forgetting all worries and enjoying with natural laughs, passing the time and enjoying with the company of senior citizens. Sharing the experiences of life with each other.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for nature-curious families and multi-generational groups who enjoy a long, unhurried walk with something genuinely interesting to listen for. The frog conservation story gives curious school-age kids a concrete hook. Families wanting structured play equipment will find nothing here — this is purely a nature walk destination.

It was very fascinating hearing the frogs call out, and learning about the growling grass frog, including what Melbourne water is trying to do to bring back the growling grass frogs.

A big park with a good and a big walking path. Needs more maintenance. But a good place to be at on good weather days.

Overview

Frog Park is a natural grassland reserve with expansive walking paths and footbridges over wetland areas. The park is home to growling grass frogs — a threatened species — and Melbourne Water runs conservation programs here. Wide, flat paths suit prams and slower walkers. Some sections of surrounding grassland are overgrown, which parents should factor in with young children.
