1 / 3Funfields Themepark
π Whittlesea, VIC
Seven themed regions including world-record waterslides, a heated wave pool and lazy river, thrill rides, and dedicated Amazonia Falls toddler waterplay. Free BBQ areas let families bring their own food.
We made the most of the amazing weather with a visit to Funfields and had the best day! I honestly didnβt realise just how much there is to do here β dodgem cars, toddler rides, toboggans, upside-down thrill rides, water slides, a massive wave pool and now a lazy river too. The kids were obsessed, and so was I. The lazy river is such a great way to relax between the adrenaline rides. One of the biggest wins for families is being able to bring your own food. We packed a picnic and enjoyed it in the shaded seating areas, which are spread right across the park. You can even bring an esky and use the BBQ areas β perfect for a full-day visit. We used our Small Ideas membership and scored discounted entry per person, which made it such an affordable day out. For $39.95 for 12 months, itβs been amazing value with access to hundreds of other discounts too. Hot tip: visit now before the January peak sessions kick in and the lines get busy. Thereβs so much to do, you really canβt go wrong. Such a fun, family-friendly day out β weβll definitely be back!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for mixed-age families who want a full day covering both waterslides and land-based rides. The BYO food policy makes it the most budget-friendly of Melbourne's major parks. Toddlers have their own waterplay zone; teens and adults have world-record slides. Arrive early to lock in shaded seating.

βHad an amazing time, spent the day here with friends and the kids. Great new cafe up at volcano beach. Heaps to do for all ages. All staff were lovely and helpful. One staff member towards end of the day came up to us and explained an offer to us we couldnβt refuse. $39 come back ticket definitely a big saver if you know your going to return before the end of the funfields seasonπ I do recommend checking this offer out if you go and visit funfields ποΈ Great day out πβ

βThis water park isperfect for kids! There are plenty of colourful slides, splash zones, and shallow pools designed especially for little ones, so they can play safely and confidently. The kidsβ playground is well supervised, clean, and thoughtfully laid out, which gave us real peace of mind as parents. Staff were friendly and patient with children, and there were lots of shaded seating areas for breaks. Our kids had an amazing time β Adult with fast pass can take kid under 130cm to skip the queues. Lastly arrive early as possible to get a carpark.β
