My friends and I had an amazing time riding horses for the first time! Our hosts were very experienced and friendly so it was very easy to get the adventure started. The instructions were very easy to follow, the horses do most of the work. We appreciated the cold refreshments after being out in the sun, I do recommend wearing a hat and sunscreen as you are out in the open most of the time. Lovely horses and goats, we appreciate the experience!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 5 and up who are new to horse riding or nervous about it. The patient, experienced hosts take extra care with first-timers and check in regularly throughout the ride. The gentle horses and scenic trail make it genuinely relaxing rather than challenging.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Wear closed-toe shoes and long pants for the ride
⏰Bring hats and sunscreen β€” trails run through open sunshine
🎟️Children from age five can participate β€” confirm minimum weight/height requirements when booking
πŸš—Book ahead as group sizes are sparse

β€œThis was a particularly meaningful experience for my daughter and I as I’m usually too unwell to participate but I rode as well as my 5 year old and just loved the freedom, the company and the team. They looked after my daughter well and let me ride as I used to many years ago. So good for the soul and couldn’t have loved the experience more. The baby goats were a real bonus! Can’t thank them enough……”
