A big shout out to Shai and Callum for the zipline experience, great experience and a great adventure. Highly recommended. I also took the time to review the reviews prior to attending and I was most impressed with the management/owner and genuine responses to feedback. Most impressive, keep up the great work guys.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for adventurous families who want physical, hands-on activities rather than a polished theme park. The zip line suits kids and adults equally. Fossicking rewards patience — younger children may tire of digging before striking a good find. The natural rock pool is the best cooling-off option on a hot day.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Wear gloves for fossicking — extended digging causes blisters without hand protection
Bring a hat and water for outdoor activities; the fossicking area has sparse shade
🎟️Take a bag of sand from the fossicking station for extra guaranteed finds for younger kids
🚗Bring swimmers for the natural rock pool creek — it is cold, clear, and the best summer cooldown on-site

The staff are INCREDIBLE! The team are absolutely beautiful, and make you feel so welcome. The gentleman who works at the front desk at the Canyon Flyer, is so bubbly and friendly, and as soon as we arrived he made us feel so at ease. Huge shoutout to our guides, Melody and Sam, who were so so great!! They made our group feel super safe whilst ziplining. I even conquered my fear of heights! Our group also did some fossicking, and the tall, curly haired gentleman who works at the Rock Shop is so good at his job and incredibly knowledgeable. My cousin ended up getting scraped up when we went up the hill and he couldn’t have been more helpful. Definitely will be back!

Great place for families. We were camping there for Australian Day long weekend with big group of friends. We had powered sizes and good amoof share which was so important during extremaly hot days. The natural rock poolside and Cristal Clear and cold water was amazing and refreshing. A lot of additional activities included some without extra charge. Great facilities. I think we will be back one day again! :)

Thunderbird park- Cool place.. small tools for mining, but good for kids.. I got blisters so id recommended taking gloves and also definitely a hat and water, it does get hot especially when digging. They have a cutting machine to cut your stones you find and a small shop with stones to look at or buy.. For like $10? you can get a bag of sand, filled with coloured crystals to pan and find yourself theyre pretty rich in stone chips- great to give the kids a cool experience, and guaranteed to get something. They also have real working mini excavators for the kids or adults? To experience moving dirt and from what I could see there was a wrecking ball type thing too to either knock stuff off or practice placement carefully? I didn't actually stick around to watch.. but looked fun for kids.. We Didn't do or see any other stuff but im sure there's more.. I would recommend going for a cool day out with kids and a different experience..
