1 / 4House Down Under
π Kilburn, SA
Interactive upside-down house in Kilburn where all furniture hangs from the ceiling. Families pose on the floor, rotate the photo, and create convincing ceiling-walking illusions. Staff guide the best angles. No time limit.
This cute tiny house down under was really tiny but fun. At first, I was disappointment to see this small funny upside-down blue walls and white roof house at a corner of a big car park behind the mega warehouse mart along Churchill road. It's tiny and quite pricey to visit. But, it's amazing when we walked into the cozy family home to see everything hanging on the ceiling. Instead of spending 10-15 minutes as most visitors would stay to take pictures inside this tiny house, we spent 40 minutes going through every corner of this upside-down family house- the living room, the bathroom, the bedroom, kitchen, kid's room etc to capture many pictures. My two granddaughters have so much fun that they refused to leave. We were thankful that we went ona weekday afternoon that not many visitors so that we can stay so long.to take pictures. I would recommend this place to all ages as it's really fun to see yourself upside-down in the photos.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids aged 5 and up who enjoy novelty and photography. The experience runs 20β40 minutes β long enough to cover every room without feeling rushed. Reviewers call it a one-time-must-do rather than a repeat visit, so plan it as part of a broader day out rather than a standalone destination.

βThe entire place is so creative and makes for amazing photos. Whoever came up with the idea of building an inverted house for public photoshoots is so brilliant. There were friend groups, family and couples getting very trippy and creative snaps! Everywhere you turn is a new surprise. What made the visit even better was the staff. Lena and Katrice were incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure we had the best time and even gave us tips for the best photo spots. What makes the experience much more fun is when you engage with the setting and pose with the furniture like the photos they post on their instagram page. This place is totes ideal for date nights! We had the entire house to ourselves this time on our second visit!β

Overview
House Down Under is a compact upside-down house β every piece of furniture is fixed overhead, so visitors standing on the floor appear to walk on the ceiling when the photo is rotated. Staff like Lena, Lina, and Katrice are trained to position families and capture the best shots. Each room offers a different scene. There is no time limit, so families can work through every room at their own pace. Located behind Costco on Churchill Road, not at the GPS pin Google Maps initially suggests.
