1 / 3HOYTS Eastgardens
đ Eastgardens, NSW
Eight-screen cinema with electronic reclining seats, Xtreme Screen, luxury daybeds, and family session options including Little Stars and Sunday Sessions. Located in Eastgardens Westfield with four-hour parking via the Westfield app.
The blond lady working at around 6:15 on the 1st of March is such a nice girl and helped us change our movie bc of the age restriction on scream. We just all wanted to say thank you to her bc we didnt see her on the way out.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with school-age children who can appreciate the electronic recliners and large Xtreme Screen format. Little Stars sessions suit younger kids in a relaxed setting. Check recliner function on arrival as mechanical issues have been reported on individual seats.

âGenerally a good cinema with large screens, powerful surround audio and big electronically reclining seats. However one seat we got had a broken footrest that wouldn't raise properly. Some of the cinema-goers can be very messy, leaving food and/or drink all over the place. Staff try their best to clean the cinemas in the short time between sessions but sometimes there needs to be a more thorough clean.â

âEight cinemas, some with Xtreme Screen and chairs that electronically recline. Service behind the counter was relatively quick, but the candy bar is expensive (over $30 for a large popcorn, bottle of water, gatorade and a pack of red rock chips). Easy parking as Eastgardens has a three hour limit, or four hours if you have the Westfield app. Staff are friendly enough but the cinemas itself looks a bit tired. The vinyl recliners are showing signs of wear on armrests and seat pads. Out of the two seats we had, one of the recliners that didn't recline. Toilets were a bit dirty (some patrons definitely don't help by not cleaning up their own mess). There was a fair bit of rubbish left behind seats (patrons aren't helping by not taking their rubbish to the bins), but it was apparent that there was no cleaning completed prior to our session. When paying a significant amount for tickets, you do expect a high level of presentation and service.â

âThe reclining seats are really nice. The service is terrible. Had to queue up to pick up prepaid tickets and order some snacks, then had to wait for 15 mins for a grossly overpriced soft drink. Will not be ordering from the snack bar again.â
