📍 Port Melbourne, VIC
Port Melbourne movement studio for ages 2+ covering gymnastics, circus, and adventure-based activities. Purpose-built facility with adventure-inspired equipment and coaches who track each child's individual development stage.
We’ve been attending the playful tot (2–3 years old) class for 2 semester. My wife usually goes with the child and she really wants to highlight how wonderful Coach Alex is. When the group is small, he truly pays attention to each child’s individual stage of development and their unique way of moving. What she appreciate the most is how clearly he explains the purpose behind each movement — the key points, the correct form, and why we are practising certain skills. As a parent who still accompanies my child in the class, this helps her understand how to guide my child using mother language she understands. It makes the whole learning process smoother, safer, and much more meaningful for her. Whenever a child has already mastered a skill, Coach Alex adjusts the activity and adds the right level of challenge. It feels tailored, encouraging, and developmentally appropriate. Overall, we’ve had such a positive experience. My child enjoys the class so much, and as parents we feel supported, informed, and genuinely impressed by the quality of coaching. Highly recommend Coach Alex and the program!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for children aged 2–6 who need an environment that builds both physical skills and confidence in a structured, nurturing setting. Families tend to stay for years rather than terms — multiple reviewers mention three-plus years of attendance across siblings.

Overview
Kids in Motion offers structured movement classes built around character development and physical confidence rather than competitive gymnastics. The Port Melbourne facility uses adventure-inspired equipment — climbing structures, obstacle courses, and circus apparatus — rather than traditional gym gear. Coaches like Alex, Josh, and Monica are repeatedly named in reviews for their ability to connect with individual children. Classes run across terms with holiday programs available.
