1 / 3Kino Cinema
π Melbourne, VIC
Seven screens in Collins Place showing mainstream and arthouse titles. Premium fully-reclining seats with individual tables available in select cinemas. On-site cafe and bar. Two hours free parking with validation. Age recommendation from 3 years.
A small but very comfy cinema. I love that thereβs plenty of space between seats, so itβs easy to get in and out even with people sitting beside you. Plus, their $10 Monday promo is such a good deal.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids aged 8 and up who want an intimate alternative to large multiplexes. The Collins Place location makes it easy to combine with CBD dining. Monday discounts significantly reduce the cost for a family outing. The cafe is convenient for a post-film treat, and service can be slow during busy periods.

βThe cafΓ© at Kino Cinema was a yummy treat after the film. We had coffee and a sweet cheese pastry, which were both really enjoyable. The only downside was the surprisingly long wait, I had to ask twice when the coffee would be ready. One member of staff was telling such an engaging story about the previous night that four other staff were listening, wide-eyed, and seemed to forget about the customers. We were the only ones who stayed patient, another couple ended up leaving.β

βLovely intimate cinema in the Collins St and Sofitel complex. I watched a film in cinema 5 with about 30 seats. Good sound, lighting, comfy chairs and no noise from outside. Prices reasonable. Encourage you to become a Palace Cinemas member. Bar and eating areas nearby so makes for the all round good place to watch a movie. Staff excellent. Wheelchair friendly. Tram out the front. Parking available.β
