1 / 2Ku-ring-gai Fitness & Aquatic Centre (former West Pymble)
📍 West Pymble, NSW
Full aquatic and fitness centre in West Pymble with two heated indoor pools, a 50m outdoor pool, a shaded outdoor kids pool with water play features, gym, crèche, and group fitness classes. Free parking on-site.
This is a very good fitness facility. The staff are always friendly, helpful and responsive. It has a great community atmosphere and both the 50m pool and gymnasium are excellent. The addition of a large digital clock at the shallow end of the 50m pool would be a great addition.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Families with children of any age have a dedicated option at every skill level — the shaded outdoor kids pool with water play features suits toddlers, the heated indoor pool works year-round for lessons, and the 50m outdoor pool serves lap-swimming parents. The crèche lets parents train without arranging external childcare.

“Super friendly staff, the gym equipment is all in really good condition and everything is super clean. The fees are really affordable and there is heaps of parking. I would definitely recommend getting a membership here.”

“The original West Pymble pool opened back in 1971, but this fully-blown aquatic centre revamp is less than 10 years old. And the Y Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre has all the things! Two heated indoor pools, a 50 metre outdoor pool and shaded outdoor kid’s pool, water play features, gym, crèche, indoor and outdoor showers, cafe and more, in a well-designed modern complex set amongst the beautiful bushland of the Bicentennial Park. It’s very fancy, as you’d expect in the well-heeled enclave of privilege that is Pymble, with loads of free parking, brush turkeys wandering around poolside and the most North Shore language ever used in their signage… skip to the last photo to see what we mean.”

“Pretty decent gym for the size but there are many things that can be changed to improve the place, the classes that happen in the gym take up most of the room in the gym and would be better if they did them down stairs in that bigger room. The gym has a too little weight lifting machines and too much cardio, surely you don’t need like 100 treadmills. Lastly something that could be wonderful would be mirrors that are big so you can help with working out.”
