As a car lover, I ouldn't refuse the opportunity to drop in and see this place. The collection is magnificent with many vehicles in super condition and/or lovingly restored to their former glory. There's something for everyone, including classic cars. Racing cars, trucks, buses, fire engines, motorbikes, and old bicycles, and more. The volunteers were very friendly and informative about everything on display. Some private vehicles were also parked outside for viewing. Had a great visit.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 6 and up, particularly those with any interest in vehicles, engineering, or history. The variety is broad enough to hold non-enthusiasts too β€” fire engines, buses, and racing cars appeal well beyond the typical car-museum demographic. Toddlers can manage the indoor spaces easily.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Volunteer guides are stationed throughout β€” engage them for backstories on specific vehicles
⏰Check the current rotating exhibition before visiting β€” Racing Legends and similar shows add significant depth
🎟️The Kenworth Pavilion and Furphy collection are must-see anchors β€” start there
πŸš—Outdoor exhibits include privately owned vehicles; check with staff on arrival for what is currently displayed

β€œI have never been to a motor museum where the exhibits were as spotless as these ones. Everything was immaculately presented. There was a good range of cars, trucks, and very thing in between. Would definitely recommend a visit. Well worth the very reasonable ticket entry price.”

β€œGreat museum. All the attractions were interesting and a lot of fascinating vehicles. Large collection of trucks and cars most with backstories. Gift shop with some fun novelties and was overall a great place. 5 stars.”

β€œIncredible place! Easily one of the best transport museums in Australia. The Kenworth Pavilion and the Furphy collection were highlights for me. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the Goulburn Valley.”
