My experience with Rockface was nothing less than perfect. I went in for equipment and training for a commercial application. I do have a background in climbing and trust high quality climbing gear over most of the off the shelf commercial/ industrial applications. I am a business owner and soul trader and required a solution to keep me safe. I purchased all my gear from their pro shop and it was competitively priced, good selection and extremely high quality. The staff were extremely attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, gave me their time and listened to me. It was exactly what I hoping it would be. I would like to give a massive thank you to Tom who came in to teach me and explain all the equipment for my requirements. Tom was patient and a very good instructor. I would also like to thank all the staff and the owner of the business for facilitating my needs and requirements. Fantastic business, fantastic staff, highly recommend. Keep up the sublime work. Recreational or commercial. Check them out. Sincerely 🙏 Robbie

“I booked my 6 year old for a January holiday program in December and unfortunatrly had the worst experience. The facility opened a few minutes after the holiday program was due to start and took about 15min for the drop offs to finish - i.e, the "program" was delayed by more than 15 minutes. Neither my daughter or her friend's name was on the list of kids registered for the program, despite registering 1 month in advance. The person facilitating the program told me "It's okay, she can just go in". I then expressed my concerns that there is no record of her at the program and that the facility has various open doors through which anyone can enter as it is not being monitored. I was concerned that my daughter wasn't safe as the program leader didn't seem in control and confident to run the program. I decided to stay for the duration of the program, despite planning on working as I typically would expect a holiday program to not require supervision from the parent. I was unimpressed by the program itself and noticed there was no structure or plan for the day with the kids largely doing their own thing and the program leader just standing around. The kids even decided themselves when to have morning tea. The day involved kids doing one or two climbs and then largely sitting around. Not worth $85 dor 3 hours and I would much rather support programs that are run properly, of which there are many around. Ive shared my concerns with the owner of Rockface directly, but he was clearly not open or interested in feedback. He kept working on his laptop while I was talking to him and didn't address my concerns about the kids safety. Apparently to the owner it is really hard to find students to run this program for him and he finds it quite challenging as well... I think that says enough in itself.”
