1 / 3Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre
📍 Ryde, NSW
Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre features water slides, a wave pool active every 30 minutes on weekends, an endless river, whirlpools, and warm pools running above 25°C year-round. Lane swimming and toddler zones included.
Fantastic indoor pool for both adults and kids. Perfectly allocated areas for lane swimming, wave pool, whirlpools, water slides, other water play equipment, another warm pool for swimming programs but kids can jump in when there’s no programs going on, spa, sauna and steam room. This place has it all that 4 hours parking almost doesn’t seem enough. They accept fitness passport so great value for anyone already with that membership. There is also a canteen there with a wide selection of food. Can’t remember them all but there are pies, sandwiches, fried seafood and chips, muffins, donuts, ice cream and most importantly, coffee. If there’s a swimming class on expect a long wait but there’s vending machines right next to them if you need a quick grab and go. Outdoor parking is free and plentiful. It seems small cause it’s always packed but whenever we go and do a round we always seem to find a spot within a couple of minutes. Ryde Aquatic and Sydney Olympic Aquatic are by far the two best pools in the area and a must visit.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for school-age kids who want variety in one session — the combination of slides, wave pool, endless river, and warm pools keeps different energy levels occupied simultaneously. Toddlers have dedicated shallow zones. Wave pool operates every 30 minutes on weekends and school holidays; arrive with that schedule in mind.

“Lots of fun and activities for the whole family. Whilst our kiddies are going nuts in the water, or the yellow slide, or the endless river we are sitting in the hot tub taking it easy. Water temperature in all pools is above 25C. On weekends and during school holidays they get the waves going every 30 minutes. The kids love it! 🥰”

“Facilities: 5/5 stars There are alot of water activities to do here. If you want to just swim laps there are dedicated lanes for that. If you want your child to have fun and play there is a leisure swimming pool for that. Overall one of the best aquatic leisure facilities in sydney. Service 3/5 Staff get things done but you can tell they don't want to be there. Hygiene 3/5 Water quality is alright which is to be expected due to the amount of people who swims here, though it can get rancid sometimes (very rarely). I personally really love to come after work to swim some laps to exercise however in both my experience, the facilities or the staff isn't the main problem - it's the inattentive parents. The children is allowed to act out without any discipline or telling off - parents please look after your children. Do not just leave them in the shower room screaming for 15mins while wrestling with each other, it's obnoxious and dangerous for themselves and others. Also if your kid's young please attend with them when they go to the toilet, I once saw a toilet bowl smeared all over with poo as if a child grabbed their poop and smeared it on the bowl with their hands. Either the staff needs to enter the changing room more frequently to stop these behaviors or the parents need to get this done. (Personally I believe it's the parents job to attend to their kids) Will i come again, of course. Will I reccomend this place for others? Maybe, depends on your tolerance with unrestrained kids.”

Overview
The facility separates activity zones clearly: water slides and wave pool for thrill-seekers, an endless river and whirlpools for leisurely floats, warm pools running swimming programs (open for free swim when unused), plus dedicated lane swimming for adults. The 4-hour parking limit is enough for most sessions. A canteen serves full meals with queues expected during lesson changeovers.
