Smith Lane Banjo Park in Clyde North is one of the best and most well-organized parks in the area. I visited yesterday with my little boy, and it was such a pleasant experience that Iβm sure Iβll be visiting often. The park is very spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained, which makes it perfect for families, kids, and even pets. There are plenty of fun activities for little ones β including slides, swings, climbing areas, and a lovely water play zone. The water area was the highlight for my child, and itβs a great way for kids to cool off and have fun on warm days. There are also BBQ facilities and large picnic areas, so itβs easy to spend several hours relaxing and enjoying a meal outdoors. Another great thing is the park has clean toilets, which many other parks donβt offer. The atmosphere is friendly, safe, and welcoming for everyone. Whether you go for a walk, a picnic, or a fun day out with your children and pets, this park is definitely worth visiting. You can easily spend a whole afternoon there without getting bored. Highly recommended for families in the Clyde North area!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 1 to 10 who want a full-day park visit with food, water play, and varied equipment. The water zone is the standout draw on hot days, and the BBQ shelters make extended stays comfortable. Bring your own shade structure β natural canopy cover is sparse across most of the park.

βAmazing little park. The slides feel like stone so are a little hard if you fall backwards going down the slide. The water smells like pool water, so I assume it has chlorine in it. Overall, lots of fun to be had from playing in the fountains, doing boat rides with the leaves or playing on the bridges/slides and swings. Bonus having a cafe so close for coffee πβ

Overview
One of the standout parks in Melbourne's south-east, Banjo Park covers a large footprint with equipment spread across distinct zones. Giant twirly slides and climbing tunnels anchor the main play area; a dedicated water play zone with fountains and a shallow channel draws kids of all ages on warm days. Covered BBQ shelters, a cafe, free toilets, and a book-lending station round out the facilities. Shade is sparse β grassed areas are generous.
