A truly beautiful botanical garden in St Kilda. We love visiting when the weather is good. The gardens feature lovely plants and flowers, a large central water fountain, and a rainforest conservatory, making it a great place to take little ones for a walk and explore nature.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and younger children wanting a calm, walkable green space close to the St Kilda beach strip. The conservatory provides a sheltered option in cooler weather, and the giant chess board and bird spotting give children active points of interest.

Overview
St Kilda Botanical Gardens occupy a quiet block close to the St Kilda foreshore, featuring a rainforest conservatory with fern collections and fish ponds, a rose garden at its seasonal best in spring and summer, a giant chess board on the lawn, and a large central fountain. Colourful parakeets feed in the fruit trees and are easily spotted. The gardens are flat throughout with wide paved paths suited to prams and strollers.
