The staff here were really nice and helpful. We had a few issues with our lane not working correctly but we were moved to the next lane and all was good. Food and drinks delivered to your lane. They have the best hot chips! And the kids loved their burgers. The entrance amd steps up to the alley could do with cleaning. It isn't very welcoming. Toilets were clean. 3 stars for the interior and experience, and an extra star for the staff and those chips!

β€œWhilst the experience was fun and I had a fun time with my family - the fan/AC was very poor, causing the whole space to feel gross, and the choice of music really ruined the mood for most of the sessions. A lot of people find music to be motivating - I don’t think playing sad Billie Eilish songs was a good choice. Please fix the air conditioning and music choices, and the experience will be much better πŸ‘πŸ»β€

β€œMy daughter has had many birthday parties at Melville bowling in the past but this year was the first time I was told that we were not allowed to have snacks that were made from home for the kids to eat before their lunch. When they bought the issue up they were not nice about it at all and basically said if I was to serve my own food then the kids weren't able to have their lunch. Their whole reasoning behind no outside food is flawed. They are concerned that by patrons consuming food made outside the establishment they are open for legal issues if anyone was to get food poisoning. But then they say it's ok for us to bring our own birthday cake πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. Serving a small plate of food is sometimes not enough for kids during a party and need extra to snack on whilst everyone's enjoying their turn of bowling especially with special needs kids around like today. I have always steered towards Melville bowling for my special needs daughter as it's a simple alley with no loud music or bright lights and isn't over stimulating, this been the main reason I over look the fact that they don't accept companion cards and that their lanes tend to constantly break down. But after today I will no longer be going to Melville bowling and will be taking our business elsewhere. Plenty of other places that are more accommodating to all abilities and are much more nicer and compassionate. As for the lady that served us I understood you were just doing your job. Next time the owners shouldn't hide out the back and actually deal with the situation themselves. Do better!!”

β€œI came as a support worker with a 17 year old with special needs (autism). The disabled toiled door wouldn't lock so I had to hold it shut as it kept sliding open. We then went to the Cafe and bought some food and was told quite rudely tokd that my client had to move his snacks to his bag as he can't eat them here. He has been here before and it had never been a problem and I had bought food so thought it would be fine. Maybe having something written on the website would be great especially if you need to prep a client with special needs that they can't have their other food that they have to eat with their chips as they have Autism. On a positive note, the chips and nuggets were absolutely delicious and the lane actually worked. The other staff were very friendly but was quite upset that one person made me want to leave before eating the food.”
