We came here today on a 40 degrees day and the pools were packed ! Lucky we came here early at 8am - there wasn’t a lot of people. By 10am it’s packed. The water splash park doesn’t open until 10am - which was a let down for young kids who need to nap. Would love the splash park to open when the swimming pools are open. Very friendly family pool area which was heated (very warm). The facilities were good. Would be good to see more eateries open earlier. The swimming shop was a rip off - make sure you bring all your gear.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families who can arrive when the centre opens β€” the splash park and rapids deliver the most fun before crowds arrive. The pool complex suits mixed ages from toddlers in the splash zone to teens on the waterslides. Pack all your own gear; the on-site shop carries sparse stock at high prices.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Arrive at opening to access the pools before crowds build β€” the splash park opens later than the main pool
⏰Bring all your own towels, goggles, and sunscreen β€” the on-site shop is stocked sparingly and priced high
🎟️Check the splash park opening schedule before the trip as it operates on separate hours to the main pools
πŸš—Bring folding chairs if your group includes non-swimmers; seating near the kids' area is very sparse

β€œI recently visited the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre and had a great experience. I went swimming and tried almost everything β€” the splash areas, water slides and it was all really fun and well organized. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and I also enjoyed using the sauna and steam room, which were very relaxing after swimming. It’s a great place for both fun and relaxation, whether you’re visiting with family or on your own. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again.”

β€œNot from Sydney but this pool felt like a hidden gem to me- I had a quick google of the best pools in the area and I am so glad I went with this one!! The rapids were so much fun. I would have enjoyed a deeper casual swim pool though, the deepest bit to tread was only 1.5m Don't use the vending machines, they don't work and staff won't help you out because they're independently owned..”
