Lovely artistic show across a vast display of open walls. The music perfectly matched the atmosphere given by the pictures displayed. The cafe served French food to match the Van Gogh expression. You can sit and rest and watch the artwork float by. Bean bags were around to chill in too.

Best for families with children aged 5 and up who respond to visual spectacle and music. The open, unstructured format means kids can move freely without disrupting other visitors. “The digital Monet experience at The Lume was totally amazing. We spent two hours soaking up the atmosphere, watching the art unfold, chasing the birds and following the drips of paint. The musical score accompanying the sights was outstanding. Totally recommend that you visit.”

“A stunning exhibition dedicated to Van Gogh. His works are presented as an immersive journey — poetic, powerful, and beautifully staged. Truly a sublime experience that brings his art to life in a whole new way.”

“🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I’m not usually a big fan of art, but while visiting Melbourne, my family wanted to see Van Gogh at THE LUME at the Melbourne Convention Centre—and wow, I’m so glad we went! I was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. It was truly breathtaking to see art from the 1800s brought to life in such a modern, immersive, and emotional way. The colours, music, and storytelling completely transformed the space and made me appreciate Van Gogh’s work on a whole new level. An unforgettable experience—even for someone who isn’t typically into art. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Melbourne!”
