1 / 3The Nostalgia Box Museum
📍 West Perth, WA
Interactive gaming museum in West Perth with over 100 vintage consoles spanning the 1970s to early 2000s. Visitors can play classic arcade games including Mario Kart, Pac-Man, and Space Invaders.
Awesome place -part museum, part gaming arcade. So many old gaming machines, many I've never heard of but all the Sega, Artari, Nintendo gear on display. Loads of games in their original cases, that you can ask to play. But there is a large area dedicated to dozens of games setup and ready to play - Frogger, Guitar Hero, Time Crisis etc etc. You can play all day IF they don't have a function booked, so definitely check the website to see if some sessions are booked|blocked out. What a blast...
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families where parents grew up gaming in the 1980s–2000s and want to share that experience with their children. Kids encounter games and hardware they have never seen; parents rediscover games they played as children. All-day play is available when no private function is booked — confirm before travelling.

“We had a great time here today. So many consoles I've never even heard of! I didn't realise you could stay and play games as well! If you're not local it would pay to ring ahead, when we came they were closing at 2pm for a birthday party. Which gave us an hour which was OK but it would have been really annoying if we had arrived at 1:50 to find out we couldn't come in. It was great to play sonic on a mega drive like it was 1994 all over again😁.”

“Coolest place in Perth with vibe to match. We spent ages here looking at the museum items, taking a walk down memory lane. The place has lots of stations set up where you can play games from the 80’s through to the 10’s. The collection is wild, definitely a great place to chill for the afternoon. We parked at Scitech and walked over to the location.”

“Absolutely magical place. It’s not just nostalgia — it’s memory, personality, childhood, peace and joy all under one roof. I watched someone I care about light up like I’ve never seen before. The gaming room felt like stepping into a childhood daydream. Such a precious, thoughtful space. Thank you for creating a place that genuinely means something.”

Overview
The Nostalgia Box displays over 100 gaming systems in museum-style cases — Sega, Atari, Nintendo, and dozens of lesser-known machines — alongside a large dedicated play area with dozens of set-up-and-ready consoles. Staff will retrieve games from display cases on request. The new location is larger and more conveniently positioned than the previous venue. Private bookings can limit access or reduce hours — call ahead if you are not local.
