Trinity St Kilda
π St Kilda, VIC
Trinity St Kilda is a corner venue with a fenced outdoor playground for kids to climb on, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Tram stops at the front door make it easy to reach from across Melbourne.
I visited Trinity St Kilda in October 2025 on a Thursday night for trivia, and it was such a wholesome night out. Itβs super easy to get to, with tram stops right out the front and plenty of free parking nearby, which my friends managed to find. The venue is on a corner and looks so cute and inviting from the outside. You enter through a big courtyard thatβs perfect for gatherings, with heaps of space, warm lighting, and plenty of seating. There are also three adorable clear domes with tables and chairs inside, which look amazing once the lights come on at night. Outside, we also met the local neighbourhood cat who hangs around the permanent food truck out the front. The truck sells snacks for both people and pets, which adds to the community vibe. We headed inside for trivia, which was hosted by an amazing host who kept the energy up all night. It was classic old school trivia with paper and pen, and there were only four teams, so it felt really relaxed. My friend won a basketball, and a kid on another team scored a drink bottle. The staff were lovely and we ordered food and drinks through the QR code menus. I got a lemon lime bitters and shared chips with the table, which were crisp and well salted. My friends ordered burgers that they said were super juicy and crunchy with fresh chicken inside. One of my friends also grabbed a small tub of their boozy ice cream (a chocolate flavour made with rum or Baileys) and it was sweet with a clear kick of alcohol. After trivia, we hung out in our comfy booth chatting and soaking up the atmosphere. The music was chilled and not too loud, and the overall vibe was perfect for a Thursday night. Inside, the decor was modern and beautiful with a really polished layout. I love that they host local events like trivia and create such a welcoming community space. Trinity is honestly such a gorgeous venue with great food, good vibes, and is definitely worth checking out.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for parents with young children who want a social outing in St Kilda without sacrificing supervision. The fenced outdoor playground means kids can move freely. Works well for casual lunches with extended family β seating is plentiful and service is prompt.

βWe largely enjoyed our visit, lunch with two kids plus several family members. It is a beautiful atmospheric building. There is an outdoor playground with a couple of items for kids to climb on, and importantly, that was fenced off for child safety. Drinks were good, service was friendly and prompt. Losing one star for food as the menu is too limited, mostly just burgers. There's very few food options, doesn't seem to be any dessert options? - and it was all served, weirdly, on disposable paper plates with disposable cutlery, even the burgers. Surely plating food properly isn't too much of an ask? We all agreed it fit the bill for the safe environment while we had the kids with us, but probably wouldn't return unless the menu was expanded and served with a bit more care. This place, with a full pub menu served properly, would be a fantastic St Kilda destination. It's not quite there. Feels like a missed opportunity to turn this amazing space into a really good eats location, but if socialising over drinks is your thing and you don't care about food, you will probably enjoy it.β

βI had a good time last night at the Trinity St Kilda with a bunch of friends listening to the Triple J Top 100 Aussie Songs. The bar has a nice homely feel to it, and has clean and accessible toilets, plenty of tables and seating, a large central bar where you can order food and drinks, self-serve water station and a lounge room with an old-timely feel filled with old-fashioned decor and couches. I had a tasty hot chocolate, but unfortunately my lemon lime bitters made me feel intoxicated (I am not a drinker) possibly due to failure to mix in the bitters or excessive amount of bitters. Nevertheless, we all had a great night. Hats off to the Trinity Bar for excellent service and a nice atmosphere to the bar.β
