Amaze World
📍 Tanawha, QLD
All-inclusive puzzle and maze adventure park featuring the Bellingham Hedge Maze with AR scanning points, a Timber Maze with riddles, mini golf, and a water play nature playground. Voted Sunshine Coast's number one attraction.
Amaze world at first seemed like a disappointment. At $36 per adult and $20-something for children over 3 I thought it was very expensive for the amount of activities on offer. However, after spending some time, I realised that the owners of this park really care and spend a lot of time, effort and money maintaining this park to a high standard. The maze is in impeccable condition and there are many smaller mazes that even puzzled the adults for quite a while! The food was both reasonable priced and very tasty. Staff were very helpful and happy as well There was one letdown, and if you are coming for the minigolf you will be a little let down. It's a very basic course with nothing interesting happening at all. The 18 holes are all basically the same with simply a few rocks dotted around the place. But that aside, this was a fun day out and would be very suitable for a kids birthday party
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 5 and up who enjoy problem-solving and exploration together. The AR features in the hedge maze add a tech layer that keeps older kids and teenagers engaged alongside younger ones. Allow two to three hours to work through all the maze and puzzle elements at a relaxed pace.

“Starting with the magic water tunnel, simple yet effective wow factor to start with before you get to the entry point. Great hedge maze with viewing platform to sit and eat or sit and guide your friends and family to the platform at the centre of the maze. And then a great activity for the kids was finding the codes and placing the fairytale creature somewhere for someone else to find. Solving riddles and unscrabling words was another fun family friendly activity in the fence maze. Loved the rope maze: clip the lead rope to the maze and the other end onto yourself, then follow you çoloured rope. It was not as easy as it sounds. Colour sequence board maze was short and simple. The water play area was great for cooling off in the heat especially after a round putt putt. Cafe had a good variety of food, drinks and sweets. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.”

“Completely exceeded expectations. This place is well thought out & doesn'tfeel clutteredor claustrophobic. It has so many puzzles and mazes and is honestly fun for the whole family. Our kids ranged from 11-17 & even the 17 year old was fully engaged and not bored. Mini Golf was fun and the random riddles were also fun to solve. Plus the play list had the adults humming & bopping along 🕺 The only downside was we didn't know all the answers to the riddles or the puzzles 🤣”

“Excellent experience! First time being in a large hedge maze and the kid inside me had an absolute ball. That said, it exceeded my expectations, within the hedge maze there are augmented reality things to scan which add and extea layer of fun. There's also a second timber maze with riddles to find... and a very average mini golf course but it's free so we still gave it a crack for a bit of fun. Good coffee at the Cafe, overall a really enjoyable experience.”

Overview
Amaze World at Tanawha combines the Bellingham Hedge Maze — featuring augmented reality scan points and a central viewing platform — with a Timber Maze filled with riddles, a nature playground with water play, and a complementary round of mini golf. Entry is all-inclusive. The magic water tunnel at the entry point sets the tone. The venue is immaculately maintained with attentive staff and a café on-site. The maze genuinely engages kids aged 11 to 17 as well as adults.
